Perché vado in Turchia

Tarihçi Dr. Rinaldo Marmara 25 yıldır Vatikan arşivlerinde Türk tarihine ışık tutacak belgeler üzerine çalışmalarını sürdürüyor. Türkiye-Vatikan [Papalık] Diplomatik İlişkilere Doğru adlı kitabını okurla buluşturan Marmara, geçen seneden itibaren Papa XII. Pius dönemini (1939-1958) kapsayan belgelerin de araştırmacıların hizmetine sunulduğuna dikkat çekiyor.

Prayer Intentions

Last Sunday, we started to place three papers at the church's back for those willing to say thanksgiving, prayer intentions, and prayer for the dead. 

It will be ready every Sunday 15 minutes before the mass starts and will be offered during the offertory.  

Santa Maria Draperis Choir

On behalf of the Santa Maria Draperis church and Legion of Mary - Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted praesidium, we would like to invite people who have passion for singing in a group. The Santa Maria Draperis Choir is open to accepting members of the newly established choral group that will serve as the main choir for the English and Italian Masses. If you or your friends are interested, please visit the Santa Maria Draperis church and look for Father Makuta or any Legion of Mary members, leave your contact details to them and we will contact you for meet up and rehearsals. 

Do not worry if you feel that you lack skills in singing because all members will undergo intensive training on singing and music with the conductor and invited guest trainers.

Le relazioni diplomatiche Turchia – Santa Sede (preparativi)

Per gli storici di Turchia, risalire alle tappe delle relazioni con la Santa Sede può essere difficile. Non ci sono documenti in turco, e i documenti di archivio in Segreteria di Stato sono tutti in italiano, o in francese. Ma c’è un lavoro, recentemente pubblicato, che punta proprio a colmare questo divario. Si chiama “Santa Sede – Turchia. Periodo di Mons. Rotta 1925 – 1930. Verso le relazioni diplomatiche del 1960”. Si tratta del primo catalogo in turco (titolo originale: “Türkiye ile Vatikan Diplomatik İlişkilere Doğru”) in cui i documenti in lingua originale vengono trascritti, aprendo la strada ai ricercatori turchi per meglio comprendere le tappe delle relazioni tra Santa Sede e Turchia.
