On October 3, the Transit of Saint Francis was celebrated in the church of Saint Mary. At noon of October 4, there was a lunch of the Franciscan brotherhood with the Protestant pastors of Istanbul. In the evening, the Apostolic Vicar of Istanbul Monsignor Louis Pelâtre presided over the Mass of St. Francis in the church of St. Anthony, with the participation of representatives of the Greek Orthodox, the Syrian Orthodox and the Syrian Catholic churches, and with the Catholic delegation of the Armenian community, under the new Bishop Monsignor Boghos Levon Zekiyan.
