YANYANA - Faire connaître les communautés non-musulmanes de Turquie (Du bretzel au simit)

Mercredi 20 février 2018 a eu lieu au Centre Culturel Yaşar Kemal de Sariyer/Istanbul la soirée de lancement du projet "Dépasser les distances du passé, construire ensemble un futur commun" monté par l'Association pour le soutien des Fondations grecques Rumvader et soutenu par l'Union Européenne.

La Fondation de l'église arménienne Surp Yerits Mangans de Boyacıkoy/Istanbul est co-partenaire du projet auquel l'Association pour la Protection de l'Héritage Culturel (KMKD), la Fondation syriaque d'Istanbul, le journal de la communauté juive Şalom, l'Association Hayder des arméniens de Malatya, l'Association éducative et culturelle d'Imroz et la Fondation de l'église grecque orthodoxe d'Antioche sont également associés.

Le Patriarche Oecuménique de Constantinople Bartholomeos 1er, l'archevêque arménien Aram Atesyan suppléant du Patriarche arménien de Turquie, le maire de l'arrondissement de Sariyer Şükrü Genç, Moris Levi représentant des Fondations des Communautés non-musulmanes, les représentants des Commissions de l'Union Européenne – dont Maxime Montagner - et des Consulats de Grèce et de Russie à Istanbul, ainsi que des académiciens et des étudiants universitaires ont honoré de leur présence cet événement. Le Comité Directeur du projet, les membres des communautés ayant participé au long-métrage "Yanyana" - signifiant "Côte à côte" - présenté ce soir-là pour la première fois, des académiciens, des représentants d'ONG ainsi que des étudiants faisaient également partie des invités....

2018 CELEBRATION OF THE WEEK OF CHRISTIAN UNITY IN ISTANBUL

From January 20 to 27, 2018, prayer sessions for the unity of Christians were held in Istanbul (Turkey).  Br. Eleuthère, Guardian of the Franciscan friary, the Church of Santa Maria Draperis, reported that their place was chosen for the opening of this event, important for both the Church in general and for the fraternity in particular.  This choice was motivated by the cultural plurality of the community at Santa Maria, as well as that of their parishioners.  The theme of the week, “Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power” (Ex 15,6), prepared by Caribbean Christians, was widely felt by members of the parish communities, largely composed of immigrants from different countries with backgrounds more similar to that of the Caribbean.

“During this week,” said Br. Eleuthère, “despite our being a minority in Istanbul, we experienced the beauty and richness of the churches. All the traditional churches that were represented together with churches of the reformation could easily feel what St. Irenaeus affirmed years ago: ‘Here is the Church.’”

The Franciscan Fraternity of Santa Maria Draperis is part of the International Fraternity for Dialogue, which promotes ecumenical and interreligious dialogue in the name of the Order. The International Fraternity for Dialogue is part of the Blessed Giles Foundation, and is directly dependent upon the Minister General.

Concluso a Scutari il 5° incontro dei delegati nazionali delle conferenze episcopali europee per i rapporti con i musulmani. La testimonianza di don Mark Shtjefni.

“Il dialogo non è un’aspirazione, ma un’esperienza quotidiana con le sue gioie e le sue sfide”, perché l’islam nella sua pluralità “costituisce altrettante sfide per i cristiani”. Così la Ccee, il Consiglio delle conferenze episcopali europee, commenta in un comunicato la conclusione del 5° incontro dei delegati nazionali per i rapporti con i musulmani, che si è chiuso ieri a Scutari in Albania. L’incontro, al quale hanno partecipato due esponenti della comunità musulmana - un imam sunnita e il leader dalla confraternita sufi Bektashi del Paese -  “è stato molto bello e molto vivace”. Così lo descrive don Mark Shtjefni, portavoce della Conferenza episcopale albanese.

Pope Francis meets Turkish president in private audience - Vatican News

Pope Francis met with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and his entourage on Monday at a private audience in the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace.

It was the first time in 59 years that a Turkish president has visited the Vatican.

A statement from the Holy See Press Office said their discussions were “cordial” and that the two men spoke about the two states’ bilateral relations.

The Holy Father and President Erdogan spoke about “the situation of the country, the condition of the Catholic community, efforts in the reception of the many refugees, and the challenges linked to this.”

They also discussed the situation in the Middle East, giving special attention “to the status of Jerusalem”.

Pope Francis and Turkey’s president, it said, highlighted “the need to promote peace and stability in the region through dialogue and negotiation, with respect for human rights and international law.”

At the end of their meeting, Pope Francis gave President Erdogan a bronze medallion depicting an angel embracing the northern and southern hemispheres while overcoming the opposition of a dragon.

President Erdogan afterwards met with Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States.

Fraternità in Turchia - Frati Francescani

Fr. Hermann Schalück, visitando Bartolomeo I nel 1995, ha avuto una felice intuizione: creare una Fraternità internazionale. Negli anni successivi i Ministri generali hanno dato seguito a tale intuizione, costituendo l’attuale Fraternità per il dialogo ecumenico ed interreligioso.

La Fraternità di Istanbul ha come obiettivo generale testimoniare la forma di vita evangelica, promuovendo il dialogo ecumenico ed interreligioso, vivendo la comunione con la Chiesa locale e offrendo un servizio di formazione permanente all’Ordine.
Dopo dodici anni, il progetto si è sviluppato. L’attuale Ministro generale, Fr. Michael A. Perry, e il suo Definitorio hanno deciso di aprire un’altra Fraternità a Smirne, sempre in Turchia con gli stessi obbiettivi, ma aggiungendo la promozione del dialogo con la cultura.
I Frati delle due Fraternità si sono riuniti presso la Curia generale, dal 25 al 30 gennaio 2016, per il loro primo Capitolo.
